The Path of a Modern Goddess

Requesting Healing Please

21 March 2009 · 11 Comments

My sweet, gorgeous furry girl, Isis has a severe bout of cat flu.  We thought she was getting better but overnight she seems to have gotten worse.  I’ve been giving her Reiki but feel that I need to ask for more assistance in the healing department.

I would be very, very appreciative if you could send her some healing.  Here is the gorgeous girl.

Thank you in Advance.

Jennifer, thank you. Yes, she spent 4 nights there last week and we were back there on Friday. There is not much they can do for her at the moment, she just needs to fight it. We’re back there tomorrow for an appetite stimulant injection and fluids. We hope that the injection does what it did on Friday and she eats a bowl of food. Otherwise, they’ll need to put a tube into her throat and feed her via the tube. We’re not ready to go that path just yet.

I really hope the injection works! And you don’t have to go the feeding tube route.

Absolutely, she is too beautiful to be sick! I’m seeing her frolicking right now!

Jennifer and Sandy, thankfully we don’t have to take that route at the moment. She’s being force fed by the vets and looks better. Thank you for your thoughts.

Oh, blessings on Miss Isis & you! Hope she’s continuing to do better – Reiki snuggles!

Reading your last post , wanted to share a couple of thoughts . I’ve been doing a bunch of reading about the wonders of coconut oil for a host of issues – helps balance the thyroid (either way), boosts energy, is antiviral & fungal (inc flus!) & helps fight candida (capricylic acid, that’s used for addressing candida, comes from coconut oil!)
Its high in ‘medium Chain Fatty acids’ (MCT) which are burned by the body, rather than storing as fat, & very similar balance of fats to mama’s milk – so gives energy for exercise, & is so easy to cook with, use in smoothies, etc!!
I love using it places I had been using olive oil (several authors sug. going thru the cupboard & tossing things containing ‘poly-unsaturated’ oils – which go rancid quickly & cause free radical production, & use only the coconut & olive oil (check dressing lables!!), & good butter if you have access (grass fed OG)

coconutoilresearch . com is Dr Fife’s site (ND – wrote Coconut Oil Miracle & etc)
For pets ~ a tsp for a cat or small dog (& sug. for people with candida to start with a tsp /day, too) – my dog (chihuahua) LOVEs it! It is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, & anti-fungal! Surrounds cells with a lipid (fat based) membrane, & destroys them – flu is one, staph, strep, Herpes, etc., also.

& re: B-12 – Years ago I had bursitis in my shoulder, & read Dr Jon Wright’s article on using B-12 to combat it, & over time it worked :)
Injections or ’sub-lingual’ (beneath the tongue) are easiest ways to assimilate it – from food it absorbs in the intestines (rather than stomach, so pills can be in-effective) with the aid of the ‘intrinsic factor.’
I have also used great ’spritz’ under the tongue – loved that! You can find options in most natural foods stores – Schiff makes ‘dots,’ & NOW makes a liquid ‘B-12 / B complex that you take by the dropper (again, tastes good, so it’s easy!) ~ $10 for 2 oz, I just did sub-lingual (no shots) for the bursitis, plus boosted vits C & E (don’t need as many anti-oxidents if you switch to coconut oil!) so it took ~ 6 months to get rid of the bursitis – but I did, & it hasn’t returned! I prob take some in sublingual form a couple of times a week, since I’ve had a problem.

Reiki hugs – keep on getting better, both of you!
